WCVM veterinarians to give horse health talks

Three clinicians at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine (WCVM) will give valuable horse health information to horse owners and breeders on Saturday, March 7, during the Saskatchewan Horse Federation’s annual conference in Saskatoon, Sask. (March 6 to 8).
The WCVM clinicians are part of the conference’s Horse Owners and Industry Workshop on Saturday at Saskatoon’s Hilton Garden Inn:
• 8:30-9:30 a.m.: Dr. Katharina Lohmann of WCVM will talk about biosecurity and how to reduce the risk of disease for your horses.
• 9:45-10:45 a.m.: Dr. Fernando Marqués of WCVM will talk about causes, prevention and control of equine gastric ulcers.
• 10:45-11:45 a.m.: Dr. Christine Lim of WCVM will discuss common eye problems in your horses and how to recognize and handle eye-related issues.
